About Suzanne Sanchez
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 18 years of experience facilitating groups, I’m committed to empowering individuals like you to find peace with their bodies and heal their relationship with food. My journey into challenging diet culture began with my work experience in an eating disorder treatment program and has continued into my private practice, which I established in 2016.
I am passionate about dismantling the oppressive structures that perpetuate harmful body ideals and disordered eating behaviors. In our sessions, I will create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your struggles. Together, we’ll confront the underlying factors contributing to your challenges and develop practical strategies to overcome them.
My approach is rooted in centering marginalized identities and social justice, recognizing that body acceptance is not just a personal struggle but a collective fight against systems of oppression. By embracing our own bodies, we challenge societal norms and demand justice for all bodies, regardless of shape, size, race, or gender identity.

What if I cannot make every group?
Summers often include vacations so it’s no problem if you need to miss a group or two. You just need to make sure to give me 24-hour notice if you are unable to attend.
Can you be my individual therapist if I participate in group?
I do not currently have room in my practice for new individual clients, however, I can put you on my monthly waitlist for individual therapy.
How does insurance billing work?
If you’d like to use your insurance, I will bill your insurance for you. Contact your insurance to find out if, and how much they will cover for a teletherapy group.
Why can’t I participate if I’m in another state?
I am only licensed in the state of Oregon so I am not allowed to do counseling across state borders, even if it’s teletherapy.
