Are you taking new clients, and do you have a wait list?

The majority of the time, I am full in my practice. Often, when I get an opening, it gets filled within a couple of weeks.

If you are really wanting to work with me, please reach out and get on my wait list. I start the wait list over every month, so if you want to continue to stay on it, just reach out at the end of the month to get on the next month’s wait list.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I’m in-network with several different insurance providers and one EAP (Employee Assistance Program). I am also able to bill out-of-network insurances or provide you with a Superbill. Get information about insurance here.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Generally, no. However, if you are a current client who has come across a finanical hardship, I may be able to arrange a temporary sliding scale fee for up to a 3-month period.

What is a "late cancel/no show" fee?

Appointment times are held for you and are difficult to fill without notice. You are charged a $60 fee for not canceling a session prior to 24 hours of your appointment. Cancellation fees are not are not covered by insurance and are due prior to your next appointment.

Do you have weekend or evening hours?

I do not have weekend or evening hours available for counseling. My current availability is 9am-4pm on Monday through Friday.

What about appointments for teens who have school?

I work with adolescents ages 12+. If I am able to offer after-school times, I will do this for teens only. After-school availability changes often with my personal schedule, and there is no guarantee I will have any ongoing times open.

Often, adolescents see me virtually during their free periods, in my earliest or latest slot, or find a recurring time that works well with their school schedule.

Do you do couples or family counseling?

No, both couples and family counseling get the best results when the therapist has had specific training, therefore I do not offer these services.

However, I am able to provide services as they relate to some of my specialty areas: eating disorders, mom stress & parenting, cultural identity, ADHD, and some teen issues. If you feel like I could be a good fit because of your specific circumstances, please inquire.

Do you have in-person or virtual sessions?

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. We can decide what works best for you and can also do a mix.

Are you running any groups or workshops?

I am not currently running groups.

The former virtual workshop, Eating Disorders 101 for Supports is now an ecourse. Supports (e.g. parents, partners, friends) can now get instant access to the information as an online course. Just click the link below.
